Living With a Pack

Animals are a passion of mine and I have always had a pack of dogs in my life. Right now around 6 dogs. Starting to design for them has been a great way to combine work and joy. While I´m writing this post at least three of my dogs are by my side. I started making dog collars for my first Greyhound ex racer Tessa. I couldn´t find a decent one that I liked and I asked my best friend if a could get some nice fabric to glue on, then I sewed a little gemstone on the fabric. (See picture with my black galgo Gastón who inherited this special dog collar). That first greyhound collar was how it all started, an ugly dog collar made wider and with a beautiful patterned fabric for furniture. In the streets people started to ask how I had found the dog collar and I answered that I made it and started to get my first orders from people. Everything handmade of course! I also do a lot of other design but lately I have no more time to do interior design that I used to do. And I also prefer a lot the smaller format working with smaller shapes, gemstones, leathers and metals. We are right now about to add other leather products to the website and it´s really fun to start with bags and the leather belts and bracelets for women all in softest leathers and matched with Swarovskis and Preciosa stones. We sell right now Barcelonadogs products to stores in over 12 countries so that´s really nice and every year there are more stores finding us. For web clients we are covering many more countries than that, that´s the great thing with internet and google there are no limits.
